Laleise is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and a Legacy Life member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). She has been a dedicated member of the organization since 2004, previously serving as President and Second Vice President of the NCNW Norfolk Section, as well as Second Vice President of the NCNW Virginia Beach Section.
Laleise earned her Paralegal Studies certification from Old Dominion University and worked in the legal profession for 37 years. Her extensive career spans both the public and private sectors, including service with the United States Federal Government, where she worked alongside attorneys, judges, and senators. She is currently employed as a Catastrophic Claims Adjuster for a major insurance carrier.
Laleise is deeply committed to family, community, professionalism, innovation, growth, and excellence. She is passionate about driving NCNW into the future, advancing the organization and its mission by recruiting, reclaiming, and retaining members, while equipping them to become the future leaders of tomorrow.
A proud member of The Word Church in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, Laleise is under the spiritual leadership of Pastor R.A. Vernon and Lady Victory Vernon.

Regan is a committed wife to Steve, loving mother to Angel. She is also a double cancer survivor. Giving Glory to God for her healing and is committed to making an impact in those in her direct circle of influence.
Regan is employed with the City of Elyria and serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant to City Council.
As an emergent leader, Regan has partnered with local schools, community and civic
organizations throughout Lorain County, serving on local boards and in various capacities. The wealth of experience and knowledge leads her efforts.
Mrs. Phillips is honored to be fulfilling her second term of President within her local section of NCNW. She is grateful for the growth of the members and of the section for maintaining a commitment to serve, above everything! Her fervent prayer is to allow God to guide!

Tamara Jones is an experienced educator who currently holds the position of Assistant Principal at Lorain High School. With more than 18 years of experience in the field, Tamara is dedicated to positively impacting the students she serves and inspiring them to invest in their education and future.
Tamara strongly believes in the power of community and the compassionate actions of its members. She finds inspiration in a quote by Coretta Scott King: & quote ;The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members, a heart of grace, and a soul generated by love.& quote; As a servant leader, Tamara strives to lead, empower, and advocate for
others both in her work and through her involvement in community service.
Tamara has been an active member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) for six years. Within the organization, she has held two executive positions, she is currently serving as the 2nd Vice-President, serving as the Membership Chair, and Financial Secretary. Additionally, she is involved in the Education Committee and holds the position of Chair of the Vision of Beauty Cotillion.
Outside of her professional and community roles, Tamara is a devoted mother to her son, Madison. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends in her spare time.
Angel is a dedicated Corrections Officer by day and the owner of Spyce by Michelle, a line of fine mink lashes, by night. With an unmatched entrepreneurial spirit, she has cultivated a significant social media following through her engaging and entertaining makeup tutorial videos.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Angel now resides in the vibrant and diverse city of Lorain, Ohio. She attended the University of Akron and currently serves as the Third Vice President of the Lorain County Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
Angel brings years of experience in community activism and advocacy to her leadership role. She believes that leaders are born and that style is a skill—a philosophy she embodies in both her professional and entrepreneurial pursuits.
Sharon Pye-Brown is a retired Underwriter from Allstate Insurance Company with 25 years of service. She has been a member of the Lorain County Section of the National Council of Negro Women for seven years. Sharon is also a member of an affiliated organization, Zeta Phi
Beta Sorority Inc. To further her leadership effort, she served on the executive board as an Assistant Treasurer, which led to her current role as Treasurer for the Lorain County Section.
She served on various committees and performed supporting roles in numerous NCNW major events.
Sharon is married to a wonderful husband, James S. Brown Jr, and raised a beautiful family to accomplish goals through higher education. She received a certification in Business Assets at the Akron Urban League. Sharon furthered her education at The Ohio State University, Lorain County Community College, and The University of Toledo, earning an Associates and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Sharon is a visual artist who inherited her art skills from her late father, James F. Pye Sr.,
who is well-known for his artistry throughout Lorain County. As a business owner of Spye Art Studio LLC. Sharon shares her God-given talent as a portraiture and an art facilitator for paint sessions to promote a therapeutic outlet for the community. Sharon is a
Paraprofessional/Intervention Specialist Assistant at Lorain Community Middle School. She is a certified Co-ed Head Volleyball Coach for LCMS that led the team to an incredible undefeated season and won the Tournament Championship in the 22’-23’ school year. Her mission is to serve and build a stronger community by promoting education for our youth, mental health for all ages, and empowerment for all women.
Regina Shockley is the wife of Alex Shockley, the mother of Regan Phillips, Lesli Todd and the late Lester White Jr. Regina has 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Regina graduated from LCCC in 1989 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Regina recently retired from Oneill Heathcare in North Ridgeville where she worked for 34.5 years.
Regina is a member of NCNW Lorain County Section where she holds the position of Financial Secretary. She is also Membership Chairperson for one of our affiliate organizations, Metro Central Ohio NAACP .
Regina is actively involved in her church, The Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Elyria Ohio
Regina enjoys reading, decorating, traveling, gardening and spending precious time with her family. Regina’s greatest pass time is watching her 6' 2" tall grandson BJ on the basketball court, where you will find her sitting court side at every game.

Jasmine Hamilton, a dedicated mother to Kerry and Kalia, hailing from the vibrant city of Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her degree from the esteemed University of Toledo and now proudly resides in the charming town of Avon, Ohio. An avid reader, Jasmine finds solace in the pages of her favorite books. She's also an active member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), showing her commitment to important causes. With a strong work ethic and a passion for both shopping and traveling, Jasmine embodies a life full of learning, family, and exploration
Leading the Way with Dignity and Integrity, Dr. LaTaunya V. Conley, Lorain County Section NCNW Chaplain and member of the Bylaws Committee is a retired Civil and Human Rights Administrator with the City of Elyria Office of Equal Opportunity, has more than 38 years’ experience in the public and private sector. She is well known for her dedication, commitment, integrity, and leadership throughout her community. Her ability to maintain a committed focus on intricate details for the many projects in which she is/was involved simultaneously provides a uniqueness rarely found in the corporate or non-profit spectrum.
Professionally, LaTaunya is vested in her community through many civic, service, and social affiliations. In 2012 she received her Doctorate in Religious Education and 2014 her Doctorate in Christian Counseling Psychology from the Northeast Ohio School of Ministry. As an entrepreneur, LaTaunya is President of Simply Elegant Affairs, a Party & Special Event Planning company based in Elyria. She established Simply Elegant Affairs, a sole proprietorship in 1995.
